The Dinky game development systems runs on Mac and Windows. 
 
 You will need to following tools and programs installed...
 Python TexturePacker psd-tools ...and some kind of text editor, it's not important which one but we recommend 
BBedit (for Mac) or 
Sublime Text (Mac and Windows). 
 
 Python comes installed on a Mac, but will need to be installed on Windows via the link 
https://www.python.org/downloads/  Install 
Python 2.7, not 3.X 
 
 If you're going to be building 
sprite sheets, you need to install 
psd-tools, 
TexturePacker, and 
Photoshop  
 Once 
Python is installed and working, install 
psd-tools pip2 psd-tools  
 TexturePacker can be purchased at 
https://www.codeandweb.com/texturepacker  You will need to install the 
TexturePacker command line tools: 
https://www.codeandweb.com/texturepacker/documentation/installation-and-licensing  
 A subscription to 
Photoshop will need to be purchased from 
Adobe at 
https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop.html  
 The internal tools 
Wimpy and 
JoJo (the game engine) will be in a shared Dropbox folder and 
Slack notification will be given when they update.  You will need to unzip them and place them in the appropriate place for Mac or Windows.  It is also recommended you update these tools each morning before working.
